New tracks to explore, the very best bush camping, starry nights, and surrounded by nature in the Great Western Woodlands with occasional interjected history. Enjoy the flora, fauna, geology and scenery.

Having now retired, I plan to use some of my “spare time” (9 days) to go and explore Mt Augustus (the world’s largest monocline) and the east side of the Kennedy Ranges which are situated in WA’s Gascoyne area. How about joining me? The trip would involve plenty of driving on dirt roads, camping in various places (8 nights) and generally poking around the bush. The trip will be suitable for Forester’s, Outback’s and XV’s.

This is primarily a wildflower day trip through Jarrahdale and Mundaring State Forests sprinkled with history and an option to overnight at York (D.I.Y. own booking). It’s a beautiful area, and in spring a blaze of colourful wildflowers with much popping in and out of the car to admire.

Meeting will be back in the Mopoke Room in the South Perth Library and run concurrently online using ZOOM at the usual time of 7.30pm

No Tea or coffee will be provided but there is a Hot/Cold water tap if you want to bring & fill your own bottle/mug.

We have a maximum of 25 attendee’s for the room size and chairs will be spaced accordingly. The committee request that only 1 person from the membership appear in person as to not restrict other members from appearing.

We are encouraging the majority of our membership group to tune in online that can so that only those without online capabilities and guests can attend in person.
